This seminar provides knowledge about model comparison techniques, both from frequentist and Bayesian perspective.

Course objectives include conceptual understanding of statistical model comparison, and practical skills of applying different methods in various modeling scenarios.

The course language is English.

Prerequisites

It is advantageous to have a basic understanding of probability theory and statistical modeling. Slides may contain some R code. Assignments can be done in R, Python, or Julia, depending on your preferences.
